His academic credentials include a Master of Science in Civil Construction Engineering from K.U. Leuven, Belgium, providing a solid foundation in the field. Complementing his engineering background, Eric Van Kerckhoven  pursued an Executive Master in Business Administration at IPO-Management School Antwerp, Belgium, enhancing his business acumen.

In terms of professional experience, Eric Van Kerckhoven has been involved in diverse projects, leaving a mark in various sectors. Notable references in his professional journey include contributions to Eternit in the realm of fibercement pipes, financial expertise in structured finance with Indosuez Bank, and engagements with Holdercim in the development of fiber-reinforced concrete. His international experience extends to Tractebel-EGI, where he contributed to the management of international electricity and gas utility projects. Eric Van Kerckhoven also served as the General Manager in Nigeria for the Suez Group and played a pivotal role as an independent consultant in the privatization of the Nigerian power sector. Moreover, his involvement with 4Energy Invest focused on UK developments and biomass Combined Heat and Power (CHP) initiatives.
